ALL OF US AT OHDEER ARE LOVERS OF NATURE. FITTINGLY, IN TODAY’S POST, WE CELEBRATE AND GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO THE NATURAL RESOURCES TRUST OF EASTON – A LOCAL NATURE CONSERVANCY DOING GREAT WORK … AND NOW IN ITS 43RD YEAR

ohDEER is the leader in all natural deer, mosquito, and tick control.

Founded in 2007, our corporate owned operation, based in Wayland, and our recently launched franchise business, are both rapidly growing.

Out of our Wayland office, ohDEER services the Boston metropolitan west region, and Boston itself.

As for the franchises, we have five of them, with one of each servicing the following geographic areas: Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, Southeastern Massachusetts, and Central New Jersey.

Of course, a major end game for so much of what ohDEER does, and for what we provide, is making the outdoors … and outdoor recreation … safe and fun and enjoyable.

We … yes, we, ohDEER … are lovers of the outdoors and nature.

And, quite naturally, we applaud and commend and are thankful for people and groups who preserve and protect nature – and ensure that it is available and accessible to all.

For our interaction and communion with nature, we are made better and more whole, happier and stronger.

Here in this space – and we commence the initiative with this post – we occasionally want to give a call out and thanks, and congratulate, those who locally conserve and protect nature.

Today we highlight and give that call out to the Natural Resources Trust of Easton, a nature conservancy in Easton, MA, the town in which ohDEER co-owner Colleen Garvin-Upham grew up.

The NRT of Easton, founded in 1973, owns and preserves 257.4 acres across five properties in Easton.

Beautiful and soul-and-body-and-mind restorative are these properties, which include ponds, rivers, woods, rolling fields, pathways, and large rock formations.

Sort of the jewel of the NRT of Easton holdings, and where is located the organization’s headquarters, is the 154-acre Sheep Pasture, segments and stretches of which are designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, widely acclaimed as the Father of American Landscape Architecture.

NRT of Easton runs a full calendar of educational programs and events, including its regionally renowned Harvest & Craft Fair, launched the same year as the NRT of Easton, itself, and held every year on the first Sunday of October.

ohDEER recommends highly that you take in and spend some time in and on and around the nature and wild that the NRT of Easton protects

Oh, as well, in that nature and wild, there are a lot of deer and mosquitoes and ticks – and, depending on the time of year and weather, you will want to be on guard and protect yourself from the latter two critters.

Yes, protect yourself and have fun.

Spring is springing.
