ohDEER’s
Coat drive

October 28-November 22, 2024

Why ohDEER is doing
this community initiative

At ohDEER, we believe in protecting what matters most — your family and pets and our communities. That’s why we’re launching our winter coat drive with Coats for Families & Kids to help those in need stay warm during the cold months ahead. As a company dedicated to helping families enjoy more time outside, we also recognize the importance of caring for our neighbors who may be facing tough times during the colder months as well. Join us in making a difference, one coat at a time! Adult, child and infant coats are needed to fulfill the mission of Coats for Kids & Families:

“Anyone who needs a coat will have one.”

How you can participate

1

COLLECT YOUR GENTLY USED COATS

Look through your closets for any gently used coats that could be donated to someone in need. Coats of all sizes are welcome, especially children’s coats, which are always in high demand.

2

PLACE COATS IN THE DONATION BAG

At your next scheduled service between September 30th – October 25th, a technician will leave behind a bag for coat donations on your front door with your service door hanger. Put any gently-used coats you wish to donate into this bag.

3

LEAVE THE BAG FOR PICKUP

You will receive a service reminder when our technician is coming again, between October 28th – November 22nd. If you have coats you want to donate, leave the bag on your front porch somewhere visible and easily accessible. Our technician will pick it up and ensure it gets to the right place!

What Happens Next?

Once we collect your donated coats, we will bring them to Anton’s Cleaners, where they will be professionally cleaned. From there, the coats will be distributed to local charities, helping to keep families warm throughout the winter.

October 28 – November 22, 2024

  • Each fall, Anton’s Cleaners collects, cleans and distributes approximately 50,000 coats for children and adults. There are more than 250 schools as well as over 300 companies, clubs, organizations and thousands of individuals who donate good-quality coats.
  • Since the program’s inception in 1995, Anton’s have collected and distributed over one million coats!
  • Once collected and cleaned, coats are distributed free of charge through the Coats for Kids Distribution Partners. This network is made up of over 90 local nonprofits, schools and social service agencies in New England, who will then distribute them throughout the local communities where they see the most need.
