We discovered the ohDEER brand in 2024 and quickly knew this was something we wanted to explore. By February of 2025, we were thrilled to become franchise owners and joined the ohDEER team in offering a one-of-a-kind service that uses organic products to control deer, tick, and mosquito problems. We had both grown up in farm communities (Rachel on a farm in Illinois, and Rob in the John Deere community in Iowa) and had developed a love for animals and being outdoors. Our backgrounds, along with our business experience, prepared us for this opportunity that will allow us to help others enjoy more time outside with family and friends as well. Since moving to the St. Louis area as a young couple looking to start a family, we have been blessed with three amazing boys who were born and raised in the St. Louis community.

We enjoyed their younger years serving in volunteer roles such as coaching various sports and helping in the classroom, and we have been fortunate to develop amazing relationships with the wonderful people in our community along the way. As our children have grown into young men, we have continued to look for ways to use our passion for helping others, sharing family time, and getting outside more. After spending 25+ years in the corporate world in St. Louis, we are excited to step into a field we both love while encouraging and enabling others to safely enjoy nature.
